We drove the 285mi, mostly in the rain. Side
roads are not paved, thus anybody coming off one brings lots of mud and silt
along with them. Road spray becomes a mud bath and the car looked like it when
we got here. We saw 14 deer and 1 caribou on the way up. Otherwise beautiful
rolling hills (called mountains back east), much up and down. In Grande Prairie
guess what we found…more prairie. Into British Columbia we went where gas
prices are C$0.14/l higher. We arrived in Dawson Creek, BC without incident.
